Training subsidies
Seafood ITO pays a direct subsidy to businesses for all unit standards-based training.
- The subsidy that Seafood ITO pays for training is up to 50% of the cost of the training, with limits
- Seafood ITO charges a training fee of $100 per trainee when a training agreement is signed. This covers the cost of registering credits with NZQA
- Seafood ITO Industry Training Managers will prepare a training plan, and where appropriate seek prices from training providers to undertake this training. We can not support training unless it has been approved by a Training Manager.
For industry training using a training provider, Seafood ITO can provide a level of subsidy. This amount will depend on the training level and the company contribution to funding.
